On April 20th Director of the Diplomatic School of Armenia, Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan delivered a lecture at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, entitled “The Armenian Genocide and its Lasting Impact”. The talk took place within the “Rights for Peace” events held by the Department of Social Sciences and included, among others, a presentation by Liet. Gen. Romeo Dallaire (ret.), former Force Commander of the UN Mission in Rwanda (UNAMIR) between 1993-94, entitled “Preventing the Use of Child Soldiers from a Security Perspective-General Dallaire's Ultimate Mission” and a presentation by Prof. Jennifer Welsh, Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General on the Responsibility to Protect, entitled “The War, the Genocide and Srebrenica twenty years after ...Humanitarian intervention and the Responsibility to Protect in the 21st century”.

In his meetings at the Faculty of Social Sciences and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Director Gabrielyan discussed issues related to training of diplomats and cooperation in that sphere.

On April 21st Director Gabrielyan was received by Dr. Milan Brglez, President of the National Assembly of Slovenia.
