On May 22 nd , the Diplomatic School of Armenia hosted the Ambassador of the Israel to the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mr. Joel Lion. Ambassador Lion spoke about Israel’s foreign policy priorities and relations with Armenia. A question and answer session followed the meeting.
06.03.2023 • Chief Executive of the "Renovabis" humanitarian organization Professor Thomas Schwartz
On March 6th, the Diplomatic School hosted Professor Thomas Schwartz, Chief Executive of the "Renovabis" humanitarian organization, spiritual pastor, honorary professor in Economics and Business Ethics at the University of Augsburg, member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, to discuss whether "Religions shape modern societies and diplomacy." Paying tribute to Dr. Schwartz's public efforts to prevent the possible loss of Armenian cultural monuments in the territories occupied by Azerbaijan in Artsakh and his readiness to help the Armenians who became refugees after the 2020 war, the Director of the Diplomatic School, Vahe Gabrielyan, presented him with the book-album "The Endangered Christian Armenian Heritage of Artsakh" by Raffi Kortoshian.
07.10.2022 • Ambassador David Fernández Puyana
On October 7th, David Fernández Puyana, Ambassador and Permanent Observer of the University for Peace (UPEACE) to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, delivered a lecture on “The Role of Education in Maintaining Peace and Protecting Human Rights” for the students of the Diplomatic School. Ambassador Puyana spoke about the history of the creation of the University for Peace, about the multilateral diplomacy system, mechanisms countering the violation of the right to peace. He also touched upon the issues of human rights protection and Armenia’s active participation in that matter and answered the questions raised by the students. The meeting was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding, signed between the Diplomatic School of Armenia and UPEACE in 2021.
21.07.2022 • Ambassador of Argentina Mariano Vergara
On July 21st, the Ambassador of Argentina, H.E. Mr. Mariano Vergara delivered a lecture at the Diplomatic School of Armenia. Ambassador Vergara spoke about the historical and cultural ties between Armenia and Argentina, the Argentinian-Armenian community and about the investments made by Argentinian organisations and individuals in Armenia. He also touched upon the cooperation between the embassies of the two countries and the upcoming programmes aimed at the development of the relations with Armenia.
21.07.2022 • Ambassador of Iran Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri
On July 21st, the Diplomatic School of Armenia hosted the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mr. Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri. Ambassador Zohouri introduced to the students Iran’s foreign policy development and implementation process, its relations with the neighbouring countries, as well as spoke about the historical and friendly relations with Armenia. A question and answer session followed the meeting.

On July 20th, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Mr. Yong Fan delivered a lecture at the Diplomatic School of Armenia. Ambassador Fan spoke about the principles and concepts of China’s foreign policy, the One Belt One Road initiative and Armenia’s participation in it. He also dwelled on the Armenia-China relations and their development, particularly in the fields of economy, education and high technology.
20.07.2022 • UN Resident Coordinator a.i. Lila Pieters Yahia
On July 20th, the Diplomatic School of Armenia hosted the UN Resident Coordinator a.i. in the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Lila Pieters Yahia. During an interactive meeting, the students of the Diplomatic School were briefly introduced to the history of the United Nations, the organization’s bodies, its system and mechanisms. The discussion also covered the activities of the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office, Armenia’s involvement in the United Nations and other issues.
19.07.2022 • Ambassador of the Netherlands Nico Schermers
On July 19th, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mr. Nico Schermers met with the students of the “International Relations and Diplomacy” programme of the Diplomatic School. Ambassador Schermers briefly introduced the history of the Netherlands to the students, spoke about the pillars of the foreign policy of the country, the Dutch experience in water management and the Armenian community in the Netherlands. He told about his country’s relations with Armenia and answered questions from the audience.
18.07.2022 • Ambassador of the Russian Federation Sergei Kopyrkin
On July 18th, the Diplomatic School of Armenia hosted Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mr. Sergei Kopyrkin. Ambassador Kopyrkin spoke about the vectors of Russia’s foreign policy as a member state of a number of global and regional organizations, the enhancement of cooperation in the Eurasian region and about its historical ties and current relations with Armenia. Ambassador Kopyrkin dwelled upon the situation in Ukraine and accompanying developments, and also touched upon the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, before answering questions raised by the students.
15.07.2022 • Ambassador of Japan Masanori Fukushima
On July 15th, the Ambassador of Japan to Armenia, H.E. Mr. Masanori Fukushima delivered a lecture at the Diplomatic School of Armenia. Ambassador Fukushima spoke about bilateral cooperation with Armenia in economy, culture, healthcare, agriculture, disaster prevention and other fields, as well as about the Grant Assistance for Grassroots projects provided by the Japanese government to Armenia.
