On 22 April, graduates of all years of the Diplomatic School, Heads of Departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Departments of Foreign Relations of public institutions, including the President’s Office and various Government Ministries, together with representatives of the EU delegation to Armenia gathered for the first Alumni event of the Diplomatic School of Armenia.

In his opening remarks, Director of the DS, Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan spoke of the achievements of the School in the recent years and its development trends, emphasizing the cooperation with the European Union and the on-going project of EU assistance to the Diplomatic School. The Director underlined the importance of such meetings both from the point of the strengthening of ties between the alumni family and establishing contacts between those with high-quality diplomatic knowledge and skills and those responsible for implementing Armenia’s foreign policies.

Jose-Maria Medina-Navaro, Deputy Head for Cooperation of the EU delegation underlined the importance of joint programs and involvement of high-quality expertise.

Prof. Manfred Hafner, Lecturer of John Hopkins University and senior energy consultant to several international organizations and companies, delivered the keynote speech, “New Developments in the Politics of International Energy”.
