28.07.2022 • The Graduation Ceremony of the “International Relations and Diplomacy” 2021-22 Programme

On July 28th, students of the “International Relations and Diplomacy” 2021-22 prgoramme received their graduation certificates during a ceremony attended by the President of the UN General Assembly, Mr. Abdul Shahid and high-ranking diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan handed the certificates to the graduates, congratulating them on the successful completion of the programme and for achieving another height. In his speech he expressed the hope to see many of the graduates soon at the Ministry on a daily basis and wished them success in their future professional activities.

27.06.2022 • Meeting with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia

On June 27th, Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School of Armenia met with Bolat Imanbayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia. Ambassador Imanbayev had a tour of the premises of the School, got acquainted with its activities and academic programmes. Perspectives of cooperation among the Diplomatic School of Armenia, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia and the Institute of Diplomacy of Kazakhstan were discussed.

13.06.2022 • Meeting with the British Ambassador to Armenia

On June 13th, Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School of Armenia, met with John Gallagher, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia. Ambassador Gallagher had a tour of the premises of the School and got acquainted with its activities.

10.06.2022 • Meeting with the Secretary General of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development

On June 10th, Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School of Armenia, met with Ambassador Mohamed Khalil, Secretary General of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt and with the Ambassador of Egypt to Armenia, H.E. Mr. Bahaa El Din Bahgat Dessouki. Perspectives of cooperation and implementation of joint projects among the Diplomatic School of Armenia, the Institute for Diplomatic Studies of the MFA of Egypt and the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development were discussed during the meeting.

30.05.2022 • Study Tour to Strasbourg, Brussels and Geneva

A study tour of the Diplomatic School students to EU institutions, International Organisations and Diplomatic Missions of Armenia in Strasbourg, Brussels and Geneva took place from May 14 to 25. Graduates of the 2020-21 “International Relations and Diplomacy” programme, who were recruited by the MFA, also took part in it. On May 16 th and 17 th , the DS students and graduates visited the European Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, and acquired a better insight of the activities of the institutions. They also met with Arman Khachatryan, Permanent Representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe, and the staff of the Mission, who spoke about the daily activities of the Armenian Representation and answered the students’ questions. 01.05.2022 • Study Tour to Artsakh

The study tour of the Diplomatic School students to Artsakh took place from April 25 to 28. Graduates of the 2020-21 “International Relations and Diplomacy” programme, who were recruited by the MFA, also took part in the study tour. On April 26 th , the participants of the study tour visited the Stepanakert Memorial Complex and laid flowers at the monument to the victims of the Armenian Genocide and at the monuments to and graves of the freedom fighters killed in the Artsakh wars. On the same day, meetings were held with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh David Babayan, the Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan, the State Minister Artak Beglaryan, the Secretary of the Security Council Vitaly Balasanyan and the President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan. 16.03.2022 • Graduation of the Protocol Officers Training Programme

  From February 21 to March 4 the Diplomatic School of Armenia conducted a training programme for protocol officers.   The main objectives of the training programme were to introduce the participants to the differences of the protocol in various countries and international organizations, as well as to improve their professional knowledge and skills. Employees from the offices of the President and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, different ministries, the State protocol service, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh attended the training programme.     Certificates were handed to the graduates by the Director of the Diplomatic School of Armenia, Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan. 15.03.2022 • Meeting with the Former Secretary General of the BSEC, Ambassador Leonidas Chrysanthopoulos

On March 15th, Leonidas Chrysanthopoulos, former Secretary General of the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and the first Ambassador of Greece to Armenia, delivered an online lecture for the students of the Diplomatic School and diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

On February 14 th , Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School of Armenia met with Nico Schermers, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Armenia. Ambassador Schermers had a tour of the premises of the School and got acquainted with its activities. 25.01.2022 • Eurasia International University College students visit the Diplomatic School

On January 25 th ,   the Diplomatic School hosted   a group of students   of the Diplomatic and Legal Courses of the Eurasia International University College who represented different marzes (administrative territorial units) of the Republic of Armenia.  After a tour of the Diplomatic School, the students met with Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School. Vahe Gabrielyan welcomed the students and expressed confidence that the students who were thinking about choosing the legal or diplomatic professions would work hard to achieve their aims and contribute to the prosperity of our country.
